After years of anime and a life long fascination for the Japanese culture and society, I finally decided I had to go. The regular two weeks that my prior trips had was great for a city, or little island, but certainly not for a country, especially not Japan. I set one restriction on the trip, that was it had to be a month, no less. I figured, this would be my last chance to take a real trip of length since, I would have to move on to a 4 year college and eventually get a career type job. Without doubt or reserve I started planning 6 months before the trip. I taught myself the language and studied the culture. Picking a traveling companion was easy, only one was available, willing, and only one had the stamina to spend a whole month with me, Tinky. We got there and we traveled the country. Our biggest flaw was that we tried to do too much, way too much. Problem was we succeeded in doing too much. I had the time of my life all the same. From climbing Fuji-san to riding the Bullet train across the country to exploring the old castles, it was a trip like no other. The details I could go into have no end. I have already written a several hundred page travel journal in web-page format to cover the details of the trip. It was my first web witting ever so please forgive the poorly written code.
